Special needs TA in Bournemouth

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in a lovely special needs school in Bournemouth.

The school is for students with complex and profound needs and requires a nurturing and caring individual who has experience in a similar setting. You will need to have the ability to manage challenging situations and be able to show patience and resilience. In addition to this, some children have physical difficulties so it would advantageous is you have Moving and Handling experience as you may be required to use hoists and wheelchairs.

The team of staff who you will be working alongside a friendly team of staff who work hard to ensure a positive and engaging environment for pupils. The school also provides constant opportunities for professional development.The post is full time, and on a long term basis.

The role will include:
Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation and 1:1 lesson delivery
Moving and Handling responsibilities
Leading group work
Helping develop IEPs

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
