Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant Required

A Special Education Needs school in Winchester require a Teaching Assistant to work as part of their team, in a supportive capacity. This is a Primary SEN school with approximately 110 pupils who have severe and complex learning difficulties, to include Profound and Multiple Learning Dificulties and Moderate Learnng Difficulties.

The ideal candidate will:

- Have previous experience working with Special Needs pupils

- Have a calm and nurturing attitude

- Be able to quickly adapt to any changes

- Be able to multitask and have the flexibility to help in a variety of situations

- Have a calm and nurturing disposition

Makaton or Team Teach qualifications will be beneficial, but is not essential. A typical school day will start at 08:30 and finish at 15:30. The school would like the TA to come in and hit the ground running; getting involved with the pupils and staff from the get-go, and have a genuine interest in Special Needs is a must.
