A secondary school located in the Trafford area is looking to recruit a Spanish and French teacher to start with them ideally following the February half term but possibility to start post Easter (19th April 2021). The successful Languages teacher will be required to fulfil a maternity cover on a full time basis. As the appointed Spanish and French teacher, you will be expected to teach Spanish up to GCSE (year 11) and French up to KS3 (possibly year 10). The role of the Spanish and French teacher will involve planning and marking.
Key aspects of this Spanish and French teaching position:
- Full time Spanish and French teacher required from 22nd February/19th April dependent upon schools reopening
- Option to progress onto a school-based contract for the suitable applicant
- Pay will range between GBP500 - GBP800 per week depending upon experience and teacher’s payscale
- Teach on a full time basis at this highly reputable and supportive secondary school
- Located in the Trafford area easily accessible via public transport (Metrolink) as well as the M60, M56 and A56 running through Trafford
This co-educational secondary school is the school of choice for staff, parents and students alike in the local educational authority of Trafford. The school prides itself on student centred education with behaviour at the school being regarded as exemplary. The students are highly respectful of each other and staff making this school a desirable place to work for any teacher. The MFL department is well thought of with students studying a range of languages including French and Spanish from year 7 onwards. The uptake on languages is particularly high given the hard work and dedication put into the department by the Head of Languages and the whole school.
The school is located in the Trafford area, specifically Altrincham/Sale making it very easy to commute to for Languages teachers travelling by public transport or car. The school is close to the local train station as well as the local metrolink tram network servicing Greater Manchester. For those languages teachers travelling by car, the school is close to the M60 and M56 motorway networks and is set in very pleasant surrounding with a large on site car park.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
