Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a larger than average primary school in North Manchester to find them an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant on a full time basis till the end of the academic year to work with a pupil in Year 5 with complex needs.

The pupil in question is able to access the curriculum with the rest of his class and is not yet required to do solo learning. As his needs are complexed his behaviour can vary, and the school are now in the position to provide the pupil with support to keep him on track and stop the disruption for his fellow class mates. The pupil is non-aggressive but becomes frustrated when unable to work for himself on the task in hand.

The ideal candidate will ideally have experience in this kind of environment or have a degree in psychology to be able to understand in more depth the pupils thinking and what his trigger points are during the school day. If you are Team Teach trained that is a bonus but the school have indicated that training for the right candidate will be offered on acceptance of the role.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
