Senior Autism Teaching Assistant - Bracknell
An exciting new position is open from September 2019 in one of our specialist Autism resource units. This setting caters for pupils on the Autistic spectrum between the ages of 11-16 yrs, some of which have complex needs in addition to Autism. The resource unit is committed and tailored in it's approach to the academic support & emotional well-being of all it's pupils. The role is full time and will have a permanent contract available to the successful applicant.
In order to be considered for this new opportunity in the specialist Autism resource unit, you will need to excel in the following;
- Supervise a range of learning activities across KS3-4 curriculum
- Establish effective working relationships with pupils and staff and act as a positive role model
- Be prepared to step up and lead classes when the lead teacher is absent
- Monitor, evaluate and record pupil's progress
- Assist in lesson plans tailored to pupil's individual Educational Health Care Plan
