Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a local Secondary school in NG19, Mansfield. 

We are looking for a qualified Social Sciences Teacher to teach Sociology, Psychology and Health and Social Care to KS5 students.

Start Date: After Easter 2026
Contract: Part-time (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) – Summer Term
Pay: Competitive, in line with experience and pay scale

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified and dedicated Sociology, Psychology and Health & Social Care Teacher to work on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in the Mansfield (NG19) area. This is a part-time position starting after the Easter break and continuing through the Summer term, teaching Key Stage 5 students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Sociology, Psychology, and Health & Social Care to Key Stage 5 students.

  • Assess, monitor, and record student progress in line with school policies.

  • Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.

  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement.

  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school’s behaviour policy.

  • Provide feedback to students to support their academic progress.

  • Work collaboratively with departmental staff and senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Sociology, Psychology and/or Health & Social Care at KS5 level.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.

  • Excellent classroom management skills.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate sixth form students.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • Right to work in the UK.
