Teaching Personnel Bristol is seeking an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join a large SEN school in Warmley. This role will be full time and an immediate start.
About the School:
The successful candidate will be joining a large, Ofsted rated 'GOOD' SEN School in Warmley. The school is a provision for pupils aged 3-19 with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties, and those on the Autistic Spectrum. The school also caters for pupils with additional needs including sensory impairments and physical disabilities. The school is on a single level and classrooms are organised with an interactive approach for pupils with SLD and PMLD, or a high structure/ low arousal approach for pupils on the Autistic Spectrum.

There is also a brand new college block, which only opened last year, with outstanding new facilities to support the Post 16 students!
About the Role:
2:1 support for a KS1 pupil with - ASD, Non Verbal and Challenging Behaviour. (Full Time)
In this role the successful candidate will be working alongside another SEN Learning Support Assistant to support the child on a 2:1 basis. The pupil is a Key Stage 1 pupil who displays challenging behaviour but also has varying SEN needs - ASD and is Non Verbal. This role requires someone experienced supporting individuals with SEN and good behaviour management is also desirable. The school is seeking a pro-active and confident individual that has a good use of initiative and will be able to get stuck into the role without too much direction. As this is a 2:1 support role, you will have the other SEN LSA with you for guidance if needed.
Daily Pay: Between GBP57 - GBP70 (dependant on experience).
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience (personal or professional) supporting individuals with SEN - In particular, those with Challenging Behaviour, ASD and Non Verbal needs.
- Proactive
- Good use of initiative
- Experienced working with children
