SEND Teaching Assistant

A nurturing and well-respected Primary SEND School in Haywards Heath is looking for a dedicated, full-time Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.
About the Role:
You’ll be working closely with primary-aged boys who require additional support to access their learning and navigate daily school life. The ideal candidate will be confident in building strong relationships, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting emotional and social development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with Autism and ADHD
- Support classroom learning under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO
- Encourage positive behaviour and model social skills
- Help to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Assist with the implementation of EHCP targets and behaviour plans
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children with Autism and/or ADHD (essential)
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine interest in supporting young learners with SEND
- Able to be a positive male role model (preferred but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
