A fantastic Primary SEND School based in Haywards Heath is seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Support Worker to join their committed team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support primary-aged boys with Autism, ADHD and Challenging Behaviour, working closely with them on both a 1:1 and small group basis.

The Role:

  • Supporting students across the primary age range (4–11 years)
  • Providing tailored interventions to support communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and development
  • Working collaboratively with class teachers, therapists and other support staff
  • Promoting a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children with SEND, particularly Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour
  • Be patient, empathetic and calm under pressure
  • Possess strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Be confident working both independently and as part of a supportive team
  • Be committed to promoting inclusion and helping every child reach their potential

Start Date: ASAP or negotiable
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
