SEND Teaching Assistant – Bramhall, Stockport – September Start

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a highly regarded, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Bramhall, Stockport, to recruit a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to start in September.

This is a full-time, term-time role ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting students with additional needs and making a positive impact in a school environment.

Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time, term-time
Pay: £89.38 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support for students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language needs.

• Assist in the implementation of personalised support strategies developed by the SENCO and teaching staff.

• Help to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all pupils.

• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to planning and review meetings.

• Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for each student.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND in an educational or care setting.

• Be calm, patient, and resilient with a genuine passion for helping others.

• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Be confident using a range of behaviour and learning support strategies.

• Hold a relevant qualification or have experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential).
