Exciting opportunity for skilled practitioner and educator to join well regarded school

The school require someone with previous experience in a SENCO role or similar and are looking to appoint someone in the coming weeks.

  • Secondary school SENCO required

Whilst this is a temporary post, the incoming SENCO will have the opportunity to work towards a permanent contract later in the academic year. This post suits those looking to secure a permanent and progressive post.

If successful then you will be required to take lead responsibility in thedevelopment of SEN learning across the school and you will be required to liaise with parents, ensuring that all they are kept informed about their child's progress and needs. As SENCO you will be asked to manage a team that includes an Inclusion Manager and an Assistant SENCO. You will also manage the team of support staff (made up of both HLTAs and TAs), you will partner them with individual children who require additional support.

Our client Secondary school is slightly larger than the national average with approximately 900 pupils on roll currently. Located close to Hindley and Westhoughton, the school is just a short drive away from the A577 and has an abundance of public transportation links to surrounding areas; Bolton, Salford and Wigan.
