Job description

SENCO

-          Full Time.

-          September 2024 start.

-          08:30-15:30.

-          Chorley.

An amazing opportunity has arisen at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary School within the Chorley, Lancashire area. This role is due to start in September 2024 and will be a full time role.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Oversee the day-to-day operation of the school’s SEN policy.

-          Ensure accurate record keeping.

-          Monitoring student’s progress.

-          Encourage strong working relationship with parent’s/guardians.

-          Working closely with outside agencies.

-          Co-ordinate with 1-1 Teaching assistants and class Teachers.

-          Lead the delivery of holistic SEN strategy.

Requirements:

-          Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

-          Robust understanding of SEN best practice and the legal framework.

-          Strong leadership and team management skills.

-          Excellent communication skills.

-          Creative and strategic thinker.

-          A commitment to ongoing development within the SEN department.

-          Previous experience within a similar role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
