TP Tutors Hiring Passionate SEN Tutors

TP Tutors is seeking motivated and supportive SEN Tutors to provide personalised face-to-face tuition for learners in Gillingham and nearby areas.

Job Title: SEN Tutor
Location: Gillingham and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible part-time and full-time roles available
Delivery: In-person tutoring

About the Position

As an SEN Tutor, you will support students who benefit from alternative educational provision and individual attention. Learners may have additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH difficulties, anxiety, or periods of missed education.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition sessions in person
  • Support emotional wellbeing throughout sessions
  • Review progress and tailor future lesson planning
  • Develop positive working relationships with families and professionals
  • Maintain a calm, safe, and structured learning environment
  • Travel locally to deliver sessions across Gillingham and nearby areas

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children and young people is advantageous
  • Applicants from educational, tutoring, mentoring, or SEN backgrounds encouraged
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and patient approach
  • Strong reliability and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of safeguarding expectations
  • Ability to travel for face-to-face tuition

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
