SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary
Pay: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)
Location: Whitleigh, Plymouth
Start Date: ASAP – ongoing, with potential to extend into the new year and become a contracted school role

We are seeking a confident and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary SEN school in Whitleigh. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs.

About the Role:

  • Support secondary-aged students in small group and one-to-one settings.

  • Assist across a range of subjects, adapting materials to suit individual learning styles.

  • Promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour.

  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure every learner achieves their best.

About You:

  • Confident supporting secondary-aged students or delivering secondary curriculum content.

  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in your approach.

  • Experience working with SEN students is desirable, but strong behaviour management and enthusiasm are equally valued.

  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
