Job description

SEN Teaching Assistants – Primary Mainstream Support
Plymouth & Surrounding Areas
Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Immediate & Ongoing Starts Available

Teaching Personnel is looking for compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs in mainstream primary schools.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting children with a range of special educational needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech & language difficulties)
  • Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support
  • Helping pupils access the curriculum and develop social/emotional skills
  • Creating a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment

We’re looking for candidates who:

  • ✅ Have experience in a school setting (essential)
  • ✅ Have supported children with additional needs (preferred)
  • ✅ Are available full-time, Monday to Friday
  • ✅ Are patient, adaptable and enthusiastic about making a difference

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
