SEN TA - Rochdale - Immediate Start

This 'Outstanding' school based in Rochdale, is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil. This is a 'Looked After Child' who can sometimes display challenging behaviour, so the ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to assisting teaching and will be able to build good working relationships.

About the role:

  • ASAP start date
  • Working 1:1 with a KS2 pupil with social and emotional needs
  • Based in a Year 4 class
  • Full time and on a long term basis
  • Possibility to become permanent if agreed by Head teacher
  • Giving accurate handovers to the Teacher and/or carers of the child at the end of your day

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Will have experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Will have knowledge and experience of working with 'Looked After Children'
  • Will be willing to get stuck in and take a proactive approach
  • Team teach training desirable

This full time teaching assistant position will start as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year. The opportunity to be made a permanent member of staff may be possible for the right candidate.
