SEN Teaching Assistant Liverpool

Job description

Teaching Personnel have a high demand for Teaching Assistants to offer 1:1 support for pupils from EYFS - KS2 with severe Emotional, Social, Mental Health and Behavioural Difficulties.

We deal with a range of schools across Liverpool, who cater for students who have been excluded or are in the process of being excluded and require additional support.

You must have experience supporting students who can display very challenging behaviour, however, this does not have to be in a school-based environment. Teaching Personnel also recruit candidates who have undertaken youth work, supported young offenders or those at risk of re-offending and those who have worked in secure or medical units. You must have the ability to build a rapport with a non-judgemental attitude and be passionate about improving the lives of young people.

The ideal candidate will be willing to work on a supply basis initially whilst we seek a longer term opportunity for you. Longer term opportunities usually arise quickly for those candidates who show initiative, are proactive and receive positive feedback from their supply assignments.

The Team Teach qualification or prior experience working in a PRU, secure unit, young offenders institute, working in the army or challenging environment is desirable!

If interested please send a copy of your CV to Jack in the Liverpool Primary Team and I will be happy to provide more information on this position and other roles we have available at the moment.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
