SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you a Primary teaching assistant?

Do you have SEN experience?

Teaching personnel are currently working with a fantastic school in Dartmouth who are looking to bring on an experienced SEN TA. This role in the year 6 class and the successful candidate will be working alongside the other SEN TA already in the class as well with the class teacher. The role will mainly see the successful candidate working on a 1:1 basis with the SEN students in the year 6 class. Please see details below.

The successful candidate must have:

•             experience working within a mainstream/SEN school, alternative provision or inclusion centre.

•             MAPA training desirable but not essential.

•             Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs/SEN (Autism, Emotional Difficulties, Behavioural Difficulties or Learning Difficulties) or training in PECS/ Makaton/ BSL / Team Teach is desirable

•             A driving license and a car is desirable but may not be a necessity

•             A recent DBS or be willing to apply for one

•             A passion for education and teaching

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
