SEN Teaching Assistant – Bolton (Harwood) (BL2)

SEN teaching assistant required at a Harwood based primary school in Bolton, starting in the Summer Term (19th April) until the end of term, with the potential of securing a permanent contract.

Due to the gap within their support team, this is an excellent opportunity to gain full time employment following the lockdown break. 

Within this role you will be required to work closely, on a 1:1 basis with pupils who require extra support within classes to reach their full potential.

  • Full time SEN teaching assistant post – Initially on a temporary basis with the opportunity to earn a school-based contract
  • Ofsted graded ‘GOOD’ primary school with 200 pupils in a really nice area of Bolton
  • Daily rate of pay £60- £70 dependant on experience and qualifications

Both graduates or trained teaching assistants are encouraged to apply to this opportunity, however it is essential to hold previous experience working within mainstream primary schools or have transferable skills related to working within primary education. It is advantageous if you hold experience supporting pupils with SEN (Including ADHD, SEMH, Autism).

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and vibrant team of support staff who are dedicated to ensuring all pupils receive the highest standard of teaching. You will be supported by a highly experienced SENCO who will brief you on your responsibilities each day. As well as providing one to one support to pupils, you will also assist the classroom teacher and offer general support within lessons.

School is easily accessible by public transport as it is located close-by Hallithwood and Bromley cross train station, as well as bus routes from all round Bolton. Furthermore, on-site is parking available for those with their own transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
