Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs across all primary age ranges in a mainstream primary school in the OL3 area.

The role involves providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, SEMH, speech and language needs (SCLN), sensory processing difficulties, learning difficulties and EHCP-led support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils to access learning within the mainstream classroom

  • Implement individual support plans and specialist strategies

  • Support communication, emotional regulation and behaviour positively

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO and external professionals

  • Promote inclusion, independence and pupil wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEND or complex needs (desirable)

  • Be calm, patient and flexible

  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Be committed to inclusive practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
