Have you worked as a support worker or carer?

Have you had experience supporting individuals with SEN needs? 

Would you like to transfer those skills into an Education setting?

A SEN school based on the outskirts of Bristol is looking for a Carer and Support worker with a passion for working with children with Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This vibrant school has fantastic facilities such as a hydro pool that allow pupils to experience a broad and balanced curriculum whilst fostering independence, confidence and inclusion. Your role as a SEN Carer will be to provide personal care, feeding and general support for children who have severe learning difficulties, you will be working 1:1 and/or in small groups to provide a secure and safe environment for learning.

Successful SEN Carer….

  • Must have a passion or interest in working with children with (PMLD) and (SLD)
  • Experience with SEN and severe learning difficulties is desirable but not essential
  • Comfortable with personal care and feeding
  • Possess good behaviour management skills
  • Proactive and happy to self direct
  • Demonstrate effective communication with both children and staff
  • Must display empathy, patience and commitment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
