SEMH Teaching assistant (temporary to permanent contract)

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: 65GBP-75GBP

Candidate: Must have SEN / SEMH experience

 

Teaching personnel are working with a SEMH special school based in Wolverhampton who require Teaching Assistants who are experienced working with young people and SEMH needs. The school caters for students aged 7-16 years old that have Educational Health Care Plans (EHCP).

The school is looking for people who have had experience with SEMH and ideally also had Team Teach training however this is not essential. The idea candidate will be resilient, confident, and adaptable. The school itself has a variety of facilities including an urban forest campus, animal room, science laboratories, multipurpose sports hall and more.

 

In order to be considered:

-       Must have experience working with SEMH / autism.

-       Have a passion for education and working with young people.

-       Hold a current and clear DBS or willing to do a new one.

-       Experience working in school settings.

 

This position is subject to an enhanced child only DBS check and must be registered with the update Service before starting work.
