SEN Teaching Assistant

An 'OUTSTANDING' SEN school in Romford are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join the the welcoming team.

The Role

• The role is full-time (5 days per week)
• You will be supporting children with Special educational needs including ASC, speech and laguage difficultis and other complex needs
• The role will be to start on Tuesday 25th February and will be to continue at least until the end of the academic year, with a permanent contract for successful candidates with the school
• The School offers proffessional career development for all staff members, you will often have the opportunity to attend additional training.

The School:

• Have been rated as Outstanding by Ofsted
• The curriculum is presented and supported in a variety of ways. This includes traditional teaching, a sensory curriculum and adapted lessons to accomodate children of all needs and abilities

The Candidate:

• Has UK classroom experience
• Have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs either in a classroom or personal experience setting
• Be comfortable with assisting with personal care
• PECS, MAKATON, BSL or TEAM TEACH training would be an advantage but is not a necessity
• Be available full-time from after febuary half-term
• Have a current DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one

Day Rates: GBP65-GBP80 payed through PAYE. Teaching Personnel does not use Umbrella companies for pay
