Pastoral Teaching Assistant.
Are you looking for a Teaching Assistant role within the KS1/KS2 age range?
Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join a busy primary school in Ely, this is a full time role with an immediate start.
You will be the schools first point of contact/liaison between families and other child agencies such as social services and child health. You will have an important role as part of the pastoral team within the school, you will be required to offer support to pupils with behavioural issues and run occasional intervention groups.
This role would be ideally suited to a Teaching assistant who has a previous experience working with SEN pupils and pupils who display challenging behaviour, you will have to be patient, hard working and have excellent communication skills with people of all ages.
The ideal candidate:
- Qualified Teaching Assistant (NVQ/CACHE or equivalent)
- SEN experience
- Experience working with pupils on a 1:1 basis
- Experience supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour
- Strong communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Uk address and right to work
- Enhancd Child workforce DBS on the update service
