SEN Teaching Assistant

The role is as rewarding as it is challenging. Based at a single form entry primary school in Norwich, you'll support a child / several children with mild, complex to severe needs, be it Autism, ADHD or Learning Difficulties. Empathy, enthusiasm, a positive outlook and a commitment to encouraging SEN children to achieve their full potential, are essential to thrive in this role.
Duties include (but aren’t limited to):
- 1:1 support with students age 5 -7 years old
- Supporting the whole class as well as 1:1
- Supporting the class teacher
- Communicating with parents
- Leading group sessions
- Caring and looking after children during break times and lunch times
- Supervising children during activities
- Helping prepare lessons in advance
- Managing challenging behaviour
- Being a motivator and role model

Graduates or a Level 3 Qualification is preferable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
