Are you a English graduate looking to kickstart your education career?

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of our client school in the West Sussex area to source a English enthusiast to join their support team and students in the classroom. This a rewarding job which is focused on 1-2-1 support where your English knowledge can make a difference and you will be fully supported by the dedicated English department.

Becoming a teaching assistant is the perfect opportunity for you to gain a real insight into a school and can help you decide if the teacher training route is the right route for you. A typical day will include: 1-2-1 support inside and outside of the classroom Developing creative ways to ensure pupils are engaged and learning Managing behaviour alongside the main class teacher Following safeguarding policies Developing positive relationships with pupils.

You will work in one to one and in small intervention group sessions to help those pupils who have fallen behind in English since the COVID-19 pandemic and schools being closed. As you teaching assistant you will need: To be an English graduate Have a interest in teaching and working with young people Have a passion for English Be patient and can support pupils to catch up with lost learning.

As a teaching assistant you will be paid from GBP10 per hour and tis role is on a full time basis. If you are not 100% sure about teacher training then you do not need to commit right now, join as a English teaching assistant from Easter.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
