SEN Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs?

Join a vibrant SEN school in Sittingbourne, seeking to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant until the end of the academic year.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work with a range of students with a variety of Special Educational Needs including moderate Autism, challenging behaviour and social emotional mental health. They will work with the school SENCO and classroom teachers across department to ensure that individual students receive the relevant support inside and outside of the classroom.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working as a teaching assistant within a SEN school or will have relevant experience such as Youth Work or Sports Coaching.

This popular and vibrant multi-cultural school is located in the heart of Sittingbourne. The school offers a rich and varied curriculum for all students and has state of the art facilities with a brand new purpose built building. 

The school is easily accessible from the town centre and surrounding areas and for those who drive; the school has a large car park accessible for all staff members.

• Full time position supporting students with SEN, Autism and SEMH
• Easter start and running until the end of the academic year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
