SEN Teaching Assistant

Job description

A school in Winchester are searching for a Teaching Assistant to cover a wide range of subjects in the Primary and Secondary sector. The school is in central Winchester and caters for a maximum of 50 pupils that have Special Educational Needs and therefore the pupils can display challenging behaviour. Due to the size of the school the pupils are split into classes of 4-5, with a teacher and support staff in each class.

Challenging behavioural experience is not essential, however the candidate chosen must be open minded and be prepared for a challenging but rewarding role within the primary or secondary sector. If you have qualifications such as Team Teach and other behaviour management courses this is an advantage, however if not, they can be available upon request. The school is in central Winchester so you must either live in Winchester or be in easy commutable distance.
