SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for Support Worker to support in a primary school in the Launceston area for pupils who experience severe or profound difficulties in learning. The school require a support worker to match their ethos and values , so the ideal support worker would have:

• A patient, and enthusiastic personality
• Experience of working with SEN environment particularly with experience severe or profound difficulties in learning including Autism
• A strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with both pupils and parents.

Your role as a Support Worker at the school would be to work on a 1:1 basis or with small groups in order to assist with their learning, de-escalate situations or provide a nurturing role to the pupils. You will be helping the pupils gain skills in education and social aspects.

The school is located in the Launceston area of Cornwall but has limited transport links.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
