SEN Teaching Assistant January 2020

Are you an experienced individual with a background of supporting individuals with SEN needs?

If so, and you are now seeking to secure a full-time position then please see details of an exciting role that is set to commence in January 2020. (Maternity gap.)

  • Full time SEN Teaching Assistant required.
  • January 2020 start, guaranteed for the remainder of the academic year.
  • Working pupils with EHCP’s (needs include ASC, ADHD and SEMH).
  • Earn up to GBP1200 per month whilst gaining invaluable school based experience.
  • Possible contract extension available if successful over the initial temporary period.

This SEN Teaching Assistant position will involve supporting identified pupils with daily school life, working closely with the SEN Co-Ordinator and other experienced members of support staff to ensure that identified students make steady progress in all aspects of school life.

It is essential that the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant has previous experience in a secondary or support capacity and ideally with students of the age ranges 11-16.

Situated within the Bolton Council, the school neighbours the communities of Atherton, Leigh, Farnworth and Hindley. It is average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll with number increasing year to year due to the ever increasing reputation of the school. The vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average. Located close to Westhoughton, the School is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas.
