Part-Time Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) – KS1
Wells
£90–£93 per day
Start Date: September 2026

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wells. This role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs within KS1 (EYFS, Year 1 & Year 2).

This school is part of a wider multi-academy trust and thrive in excellence pupil care & high teaching/support standards.

About the Role:

  • Supporting a pupil on a 1:1 basis within the classroom
  • Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
  • Working closely with teaching staff and SEN professionals
  • Support transitions into the educational setting

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with young children, particularly those with additional needs, is desirable
  • Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passionate about making a difference in a child’s educational journey

We also welcome applications from enthusiastic, open-minded, and hardworking individuals who are eager to develop their skills and support pupils in a meaningful way.

Requirements:

All successful applicants will be required to:

  • Complete Safeguarding and Thrive training
  • Attend an interview process
  • Undergo a thorough vetting process in line with safer recruitment standards & Keeping children safe in education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
