Job description

We are currently recruiting dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants to work in specialist school settings supporting children and young people with challenging behaviour, including those with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), trauma, and ADHD.

This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are patient, empathetic, and committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role:

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour management
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, structured learning environment
  • Encouraging engagement, confidence, and personal development

Requirements:

  • Ability to work Monday to Friday (term time only)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm, resilient, and proactive approach
  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH, trauma, ADHD, or other behavioural challenges
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
