Overview:
A Teaching Assistant is required for a local primary school who can support a Year 2 child with ADHD. The role is full-time until the end of the academic year. The Head Teacher works conscientiously with the parents and families of those children who attend and there is also a dedicated SENCO whose sense of duty is to makes sure those who require assistance receive specialist attention in order for students to reach their true potentials. They are looking for a dedicated, passionate, hard-working, and motivated person who can attend the needs and learning of this student to the school’s standards. Please find further details below:
About the role:
- Experience with ADHD learners
- Relevant Key Stage teaching experience
- High expectations for all students and the determination to help all children succeed
- The ability to work effectively in a team of teachers, support staff and outside agencies
- DBS on the update service or be willing to get one
- Practices to develop and encourage pupil's interests and knowledge
About you:
- Must be able to build effective relationships with all children and young people.
- Must have experience with ADHD Learners
- Must be an amicable and caring personality with integrity.
- Must have flexibility, strength of character and be resilience.
- Must be adaptable and inclined to accept guidance and support.
- Must be an appropriate role model to learners.
- Must have the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Must have a positive solution focused approach to challenging situations.
- Must be emotionally literate.
- Must be fit enough for work and able to engage in a range of activities with the pupils.
- Must have own transport arrangements or ability to travel independently. No use of public transport due to vulnerable learners during COVID-19 pandemic
