SEN School Teaching Assistant

We work closely with a fantastic school with a big SEN department who are seeking teaching assistants to join their friendly, forward thinking and ambitious team. The school have had a number of pupils join their school with EHCP funding which means the school have three roles they are currently recruiting for in September.

You will be working closely with the SENCO on a daily basis, enhancing the students learning and all round school experience.

• Secondary Bristol
• Full time placement- Until the end of the academic year
• Secondary School based in North Bristol
• GBP60-GBP65 per day
• Working 1:1 and in small groups

The role:

• Preparing materials for classroom
• Assessing students’ needs
• Reporting to members of senior staff
• Supporting students with a variety of needs
• Ensuring progress of students throughout the academic year
• Communicating with parents, carers and other professionals

Requirements:

• Passion to work with children with various learning difficulties
• Be aware and well informed of Autism and other learning difficulties
• Have a positive attitude
• DBS certificate (we will assist you with the application for this)
• Previous experience with SEN students (desired but not essential)
• Psychology degree (desired but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
