SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time – Yeovil – September 2025 Start
Are you a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic individual looking to support children and young people with special educational needs? A nurturing and well-regarded specialist school in Yeovil is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
You’ll be supporting students aged 4 to 16, working across both primary and secondary phases, in a school that prides itself on creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for all learners.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting students with a range of complex needs, including autism, learning difficulties and SEMH

Assisting in lessons, group work, and one-to-one interventions

Encouraging communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing

Working closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff

Helping to maintain a calm, structured and caring learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
