SEN Teaching Assistant

We’re seeking compassionate, proactive SEN Teaching Assistants to support students aged 3–19 in a range of specialist settings across Yeovil.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available from September 2025, with the option to start earlier.
These highly regarded settings offer tailored education to pupils with a wide variety of needs, including autism, complex learning difficulties, communication challenges, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting students in primary or secondary phases with SEN or SEMH needs

Assisting in the delivery of personalised learning plans

Promoting independence, self-regulation, and social development

Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff

Encouraging engagement through creative, inclusive strategies

Creating a safe, calm, and positive classroom environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
