Teaching Assistant required for a school who provide an inclusive environment where every student is empowered to achieve their full potential. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a passionate team. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students, helping them to succeed academically and develop essential life skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions to support student progress
- Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their social and emotional well-being
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques as required
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour, contributing to ongoing assessments and reviews
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with individuals with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people facing challenges.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and effectively manage challenging behaviours.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of our students and school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
