Sen Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are working closely with one of our partner SEND schools to recruit a dedicated SEND Support Staff member to work with students across year groups with additional needs. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, ideal for someone looking to secure a long-term role within a supportive school environment.
The Role
You will be supporting students with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access the curriculum and develop both academically and socially. Support may be provided on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, depending on student needs.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting SEND students across KS31- KS4 in and out of the classroom

Assisting with differentiated learning activities

Promoting positive behaviour and engagement

Working closely with teachers and the SENCO
-
Encouraging independence, confidence, and inclusion
The Ideal Candidate

Experience working with children or young people with SEN (education, care, or youth work)
-
A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
-
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
-
Willingness to commit long-term, with the aim of moving to a permanent contract

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
