SEN Teaching Assistant

A school in Stockport requires an SEN Teaching Assistant from September 2020.

Requirements for this position:

• A degree.
• Experience working with children/adults with SEN.
• Aspirations for a career in working with children with additional needs.

It is essential that the required individual for this role has an in-depth understanding of the intricacies often faced by students with SEN when trying to engage with the mainstream process.

The position:

• Managing any pastoral issues that may arise.
• Providing feedback to senior leaders/reporting back to SENCO regarding student performance.
• Identifing other students who may require additional support.
• Managing student workloads, aiding exam preparation and in class assessments.
• The required applicant will work closely with students with SEN, often on a 1:1 basis.
• The role will focus on producing educational material for students to engage with.

The school:

• Located in Stockport, the school is not far from Manchester city centre.
• The M60 motorway is within close proximity of the school itself.
