Job description

One of our partnership SEN Provisions in South Manchester are looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team!

 The school caters for children aged 4-19 with a variety of complex and severe learning needs including Autism, Physical disabilities, and sensory impairments.

In this role as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in the delivery of creative and engaging lessons.
  • Support children on a 1:1 and small group basis.
  • Engage with children and help them to reach their full potential.
  • Support in the assessment of children’s learning and development.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Lots of patience and a calm personality
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs in a school/care setting or through personal experience
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full time availability within school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
