Speke, L24 | Liverpool | Full-Time Role

Pay Rate: £14.25 - £15.25 per hour (DOE)

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new role in September? Teaching Personnel are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Speke, seeking dedicated SEN TAs to join their team.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work as part of a specialist SEN support team across the school (predominantly KS1)
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with a range of SEND needs
  • Support children with needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language difficulties, and learning needs
  • Deliver targeted interventions and adapt classroom activities to suit individual learning styles
  • Implement EHCP targets and behaviour strategies
  • Encourage independence, engagement, and emotional development

This is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to work with different pupils and year groups while being part of a strong team.


The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have proven experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting
  • Are confident working on a 1:1 basis
  • Have experience in Primary School (desirable)
  • Are patient, resilient, and proactive
  • Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Have a good understanding of behaviour management strategies
  • Hold a relevant qualification (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent – desirable)
