Pay Rate: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour (DOE)

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role this September? We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Liverpool seeking dedicated SEN TAs to join their team on a full-time basis.

You will be joining a well-established SEN team, working closely with class teachers, SENDCo, and fellow support staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work as part of a team supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group interventions
  • Support children with needs such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, and learning difficulties
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, and emotional regulation
  • Adapt learning materials to suit individual needs

This is a dynamic role, ideal for someone who thrives in a varied environment and enjoys working across multiple age groups.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for SEN TAs who:

  • Have previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school setting
  • Are confident working with a range of additional needs
  • Are patient, empathetic, and proactive
  • Can work effectively as part of a wider team
  • Have strong communication skills
  • Hold a relevant qualification (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent – desirable but not essential)
