Are you a passionate individual keen on supporting young people with Special Education Needs? Are you looking to gain expereince in Primary Schools?
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants in and around the Borough of Solihull to support Primary Schools in the local area. The SEN Teaching Assistants will be working closely, with students supporting their diverse educational, social, and emotional needs. We offer a range of part-time, full-time, day-to-day, and long-term opportunities to suit your needs!
Competitive pay rates from £83 a day. Experience working / supporting children with SEMH, Autism, or ADHD would be beneficial. These opportunities will suit someone with prior school-based experience. It may also suit someone from a health and social care background as well as those with experience of challenging behaviour settings, psychology graduates, 1:1 support, sports coaches, and mentoring backgrounds.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with additional need such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
- Providing emotional and educational support to all young learners in the school.
- Collaborating with other members of staff to ensure pupil’s progress and adjusted to meet the pupil’s specific needs.
- Having confidence in your approach when engaging with pupils with Autism, ADHD or SEMH.
- Having a warm and positive approach in the classroom demonstrating care, patience and understanding.
What you will need:
- A keen passion for education and learning.
- Enhanced DBS on the updated service or be willing to apply for one.
- Classroom experience desired, but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
