SEN Teaching Assistant – Shepton Mallet (Post-October Half-Term Start)
Daily Rate: £89.38 | Full-Time | Long-Term Role

Are you a compassionate, forward-thinking SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next rewarding role?
A quiet, quaint village primary school nestled in the heart of Shepton Mallet is working closely with Teaching Personnel to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to start after October half-term.

The Role

You will be working 1:1 with a pupil in Upper Key Stage 2 who requires consistent support due to:

  • Severe epilepsy
  • Autism
  • Challenging behaviour

The ideal educator will demonstrate:

  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • An understanding of medical needs and confidence responding to health-related incidents
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to learning support
  • A genuine commitment to helping every child reach their potential

Start Date & Process

  • Start: After October half-term
  • The school will conduct interviews prior to placement confirmation
  • Candidates must hold a child workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)

Pay

  • Daily rate: £89.38 per day (paid weekly)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
