About the Role
Teaching Personnel is recruiting for enthusiastic and committed SEND Teaching Assistants to support students in our partner schools across Bridgwater. These schools cater to pupils with a range of needs including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other complex learning needs.
You’ll be joining a supportive team focused on personalised learning and holistic development. Full induction and trial days are available to help you settle in.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored support to students with SEND
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual learning plans
- Promote emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
- Adapt learning materials to suit diverse needs and abilities
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Passionate about supporting children and young people with SEND
- Experience in education, care, or youth work (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication skills, patience, and resilience
- Committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
