On behalf of a large Alternative Provision in Plymouth, Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a full time learning mentor to work 1:1 with a student in one of our secondary special educational needs schools.
This role is an immediate start and will require an experienced TA, learning mentor, sports coach or NQT to support on a student with SEN such as Autism, SEMH and challenging behaviour. This role is initially until the end of the academic year however there may be a permanent contract offered through out this time.
Teaching Personnel offer competitive rates, WEEKLY PAY and do not use Umbrella companies to process your payment. Earn from between GBP285 - GBP325 per week.
The successful candidate will have:
- Recent experience supporting and working with children and young adults with special educational needs. This can be from a care, support worker or educational background
- A nurturing and patient approach to learning and understanding
- Availability 5 days a week, Monday to Friday
- Have a strong academic background. Grades A – C in Maths and English GCSE
- Have a full UK driving licence with access to own transport
- The aptitude to build positive relationships with students
- A valid DBS on the update service or be willing apply for a new one and register with the update service
