We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students within Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across the Greater Norwich area. These settings provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), communication difficulties, and complex learning needs.

Every student has their own strengths, challenges, and learning journey. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing the personalised support and encouragement needed to help young people thrive both academically and personally.

  • Adapt activities and learning approaches to meet the individual needs of each student.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help students develop effective self-regulation strategies.
  • Encourage participation, engagement, and meaningful interaction with peers and staff.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, care, youth work, support work, or SEN settings.
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to working with children and young people.
  • The ability to remain calm, adaptable, and positive in a dynamic school environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential requirements for this role, as travel to SEN schools across the Greater Norwich area will be required.

  • Opportunities to gain valuable experience within a range of specialist SEN school settings.
  • Access to professional development and training through Teaching Personnel's CPD Academy.
  • Competitive weekly pay based on your experience and availability.
  • Convenient online systems for timesheets, bookings, and communication.
  • Ongoing support and guidance from a dedicated consultant.
  • A rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people with additional needs.
