SEMH / SEND Teaching Assistant

Full-Time | Immediate Start | Norwich & Surrounding Areas

We’re hiring SEMH and SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs across specialist and mainstream schools in Norwich.

Your Role

  • Support students with SEMH and SEND needs (Reception–Year 11)

  • Manage challenging behaviour using structured, calm approaches

  • Build strong, professional relationships with pupils

  • Adapt learning activities to individual needs

  • Encourage positive behaviour, resilience, and engagement

  • Help create a safe, focused learning environment


✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Resilient, patient, and proactive individuals

  • Confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to stay calm and consistent in challenging situations

  • Experience in education, SEN, care, youth work, or similar (preferred)

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)


Location

Norwich and northern surrounding areas (travel flexibility required)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
