SEMH Teaching Assistant – Norwich

We’re looking for resilient, confident individuals to support pupils with SEMH needs across specialist schools in Norwich. No two days are the same—this is a fast-paced role for people who thrive on challenge and want to change lives.

Driving essential
Full UK licence and access to a vehicle required—placements may vary across Norwich.


What you’ll do:

  • Support pupils with complex emotional, behavioural, and learning needs

  • Help deliver engaging lessons (literacy, numeracy & more)

  • Manage challenging behaviour with calm authority

  • Create a structured, safe, and positive learning environment


What we’re looking for:

  • Confident, calm under pressure, and resilient

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Proactive, flexible, and reliable

  • Able to build trust and positive relationships quickly

About the role:
You’ll work in specialist provisions in and around Norwich. These schools provide tailored, highly personalised education for young people who can’t access mainstream settings—making your role vital to their success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
