Teaching Personnel are looking for experienced Special Educational Needs/SEN teaching assistants for a special needs’ primary school based in Northampton.
The School:
The school is for KS1 and KS2 students with autism, severe learning difficulties and physical disabilities.
The Job:
The position is based in the school’s autism department to start in September 2021 Mondays to Fridays 8:30am - 3:30pm daily. SEN teaching assistants will support children 1:1 with severe autism and sensory needs in class assisting with play, learning, therapy and personal care.
The essential requirements:
We would require SEN TAs with experience supporting children with severe/low functioning autism in SEN settings such as special need schools, play centres, hospitals and respite/residential care.
It is essential that all applicants are open to supporting children with personal care and behaviour management.
Having experience with PECS, Makaton, TEACCH or sensory learning will be highly beneficial due to the severity of pupil needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
